Erin Tobey prepared a pamphlet in the spirit of "The Period Conspiracy" about how tampons are damaging to your body, toxic shock syndrome, and how this works to the benefit of the people who sell them to you. It includes a resource list, some healthier alternatives, and instruction on how to make your own reusable menstrual pads.
Erin Tobey (Abe Froman) writes cute stories and draws cute pictures! This issue covers some babysitting moments and a crush/relationship with a boy in the US while she is visiting Australia. It makes me smile over and over throughout each story.
Whoomp! Here it is! Erin Tobey presents us with another issue of her intimate little comic. This time the themes are a bit more serious and intellectual, looking at love, losing love, finding love, the space/time continuum, fearing the death of her brother, Friendster analyzed by the theories of Jean Baudrillard, and physical intimacy with platonic friends. Not as light hearted as the previous issue but cute and important nonetheless. Erin never ceases to put a smile on my face even when it's over dim subjects.
Erin Tobey presents us with yet another issue of her intimate little comic. This time - it's truly a straight forward comic! Erin analyzes her everyday circumstances under a serious lens - sparing herself no scrutiny - how to drive 14 hours alone effortlessly through having much to think about, leaving a sidewalk message near a friend's house, watching a football game with a friend, living a somewhat cliched "diy punk" existence, having an "inner Sparky" voice, Asu Beebe, a series of unanswered personal questions, and more. Erin never ceases to put a smile on my face even when it's over dim subjects.
