From the author of "Please Let Me Help", we have the "best of" Zack Sternwalker - featuring Brad Pitt vs. Will Smith, Forgive Me Conrad, Death: The Most Dirty Dance, I Wish things Were Different, I Am Not A Bad Gorilla. This one's got it all – Stories, photos, drawings, Celebrities, and more. Great sense of nontraditional humor here with such topics as his mom bringing the wrong celebrity to cheer him up in the hospital, how to tell the gender of spiders, falling in love with the dance instructor, masturbating to photos of the great wall of China, and more nonsensical humor. Funny as Hell with stories told primarily through pictures! Just as uproariously exciting as Please Let Me Help! This man is truly a genius.
Three crazy ass short stories from Zack Sternwalker (Please Let Me Help). Cameron Pays Close Attention - A son and his creepy father encounter a deer while driving through the woods and it results in life lessons. Mr. Dokas Holds Down the Fort – A convenient store proprietor with some dirty secrets encounters a late night customer who wants cigarettes. Lil' Stevie Gets Punked – When Stevie runs into a man who wants to steal his basket ball hoop he runs home to fetch his BB gun only to return to bigger disappointment.
“ Explain it to the police. I'm only nine and I don't do drugs or smoke cigarettes so I'm in way better shape than you. If you think I'm scared of you because you're an adult, you're wrong. My Dad's way bigger than you and when he left I shot him in the face with my gun and he was in the hospital for two months and now he's gotta wear a patch over his eye and can't drive or operate heavy machinery.”
Zack Sternwalker is unemployed, overweight, recently divorced, and lives with his mother. Whilst a lesser man would wither away in emo-laden angst, Zack has found inspiration during this difficult stretch of life. A renaissance man, Zack conjures up brilliant ideas (soap on a rope, a Sammie Davis Jr. biopic starring Tom Cruise, vases of flowers in Port-a-Potties nationwide), offers services (babysitter for Sophia Coppola, compiler and burner for a Beatles Best-of), and attempts to woo unsuspecting ladies with his lifelike sketches of firearms.
Please Let Me Help is a collection of letters Zack has written to companies, actors, directors, his local police department, Hulk Hogan, and scores of other easy targets. Some write back; most don't. Quite possibly the best, most hilarious zine ever, Please Let Me Help even includes pager after page of vampiric doodles. Can you resist it?
