Any war started by a large empire has been to increase the intake of resources while numbing the population to totalitarian control. If the fat cats aren't making money off of poor kids destroying themselves with drugs, they start selling them guns to kill poor kids in another neighborhood... and if that stops making money, then you make a war and send them to fight against the poor kids of another country in which the fat cats have the same dillema. I don't think It's cool to not know the history of the wars we are in. Why don't you take a quick look at the reasons given for us being there (iraq) and then you will realize that we were/are not under any potential threat from that country/government...
