In the comment section of the patch depicting a woman kicking a cop, certain people criticized it as 'unfair to cops.' This patch illustrates why we working people dislike and distrust the police. The police aren't 'our police' but rather 'their police'--by which I mean that they are an enforcement mechanism of the bourgeoisie: the owning class. The police are the ones who are sent in to remove us from our homes if we for some reason displease our parasitic landlords, the police are used to break up strikes and protests when we rightfully express our dissatisfaction at the conditions of our lives, and our youth--particularly our youth of color--are disproportionately harassed, beaten, and killed with little or no accountability. That's why we self-aware working class folks dislike the police. They aren't here to serve and protect us--they might do that on occasion--they're here to preserve the existing social order: the extreme disparities of wealth. Rev. Uncle Neil Banana Head
