Icky's triumphant return to Portland issue where he dissects his move from city to city, trying to find his place from New Orleans to Pittsburgh to Detroit to Chicago and finally settling again in his hometown of Portland, OR. He conversationally goes over the various thoughts in his head regarding his approach and frustrations with punk, art, activism, being a good friend, watching television, drinking, and his restaurant jobs. It's a strong account of trying to make the world a better place while acknowledging your own shortcomings and problems. A favorite story of mine is about doing interviews for a documentary about the supposed radicalism of dumpster diving with attendees at the A-Zone 10th anniversary party, a very insular infoshop in Chicago. Continually one of our most recommended titles.
