Catalog / Zines / Teenage Death Songs #16

Teenage Death Songs #16 56 pages, 1/2 legal, copied (5 oz) * OUT OF STOCK *

So, after careful studying, I've concluded that no one quits their zines - they just slow to a publishing schedule of one issue every four years or so. Which, in this case, is fine by me. This is the best issue of Teenage Death Songs yet! It contains some very developed (and gasp, edited!) writing about Tennessee Jones identifying with his father; putting on his boots and building a whiskey still, then works into the cultural differences when visiting his parents. They don't know how to react to his new, testosterone inspired, deep voice and physical changes from transitioning.

He goes to visit his folks and checks out the familiar places, sees the family get old, and hears stories about war, alcohol, and sees hairlines recede.

There's also an excerpt from his book, "Deliver Me From Nowhere", the novel inspired by Springsteen's 1982 classic "Nebraska" and a story about visiting New Orleans after chest surgery.
