OJ Killed Elvis #3 32 pages, 1/2 size, copied (2 oz) $1.50

Mike Croft (who passed away recently) originally wrote this zine in 1998 and then later re-wrote it in 2001 (in my house, even). It collects a story about how the town of Binghamton outlawed handbills and flyers after some obscene show flyers Mike put up downtown, responses to said flyers from local bands (good and bad), interviews with F.Y.P, Atom & His Package, and Mutant Pop Records, seizures caused by Pokemon, stories about his car, car accidents, and poor driving (being told he is the worst driver his driver's ed teacher has ever seen), a particularly nutty Jack Chick comic reprint, throwing cat shit at a fake manufactured punk band who invaded their town, and the ensuing email exchanges between people about the incident, facts about poop, and pizza places run by the mafia. This zine is well written, despite what you might think, and highly entertaining. If you throw in the mix that it was written by a high school sophomore, it's fairly mind-blowing. Mike passed away in 2006 and his friends are making a conscious effort to put his writing back in print and eventually publish a book of his work since he was such a talented writer and it was so important to him.
