Lock Out the Landlords!: Anti-Eviction Resistance 1929-36 32 pages, printed on crazy-nice brown paper!! with a Risograph GR 1750, 1/2 size like a hot-dog (2 oz) $3.00

Whoa, this zine is really quite handsome! It's printed on beautiful brown paper, by a letterpress, and comes to us via Homebrew Books in Australia. The zine is all about the history of tenants' rights in Australia in the early 1900s. It has an overview of the economic factors that precipitated the tension, and then has a thorough time-line of anti-eviction actions. Apparently there were many hundreds in a 7 year period! Lots of tales of mobs of angry Australians confronting bailiffs and police in order to keep people in their homes.
