Guide to Steel Bikes

Comments for Guide to Steel Bikes

I actually made this like 3 months ago. I focused on older bikes because that's what most of us are riding; also, it's much more cost effective to get a good older/used bike or component than to buy something new. I could go on for a while with criticisms of the bicycle industry and some of the trends within it. In the future, I'm going to make a much-expanded version or sequel to the zine where I address some newer technologies & assosciated concerns. As well as a lot of other things, like wheels, rims, and tires/rolling resistance. If anyone has a copy of an earlier Zine that's similar, I'd like to see it. Lindsey
this was compiled in 1994 i do believe, but fortunately bikes haven't changed too much. and, the knowledge one can gain from this zine beyond useful to anyone entering, existing, or just curious about bike culture and/or reducing their carbon footprint. the zine is completely gorgeous as well. kga

Because of ridiculous spambots, you must prove you are a human by retyping this scrambled number/letter scheme. Once proven human, you can post freely for a month.
